Robert Jamieson: Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible

This commentary was recommended by John Piper and is freely available. This might supply more information on the original language.

Thanks for this suggestion! I think I had heard that there are some bits of early German liberalism in this volume, but I don’t remember where I heard this. I’ll ask my pastor about it, though. Resources from CCEL are often easy to add, so this could be a really good suggestion if the theology in it turns out to be confessionally reformed.

If this is the same as the “Jamieson, Fausset and Brown” commentary available free through Olive Tree, I’ve generally found it to be helpful for specific passages. But I don’t know much about the overall theology/philosophy.
